Terms of Service

The base agreement for everyone. Publishers and advertisers each accept an additional agreement covering money.

Version 2026-08-25Applies to: Everyone using FameSpot

1. What FameSpot is

FameSpot is a marketplace. Publishers offer a single advertising position on a page hosted on their own subdomain; advertisers pay to occupy that position until someone pays more. We provide the platform, the hosting and the payment rails.

We are not a party to the commercial relationship between a publisher and an advertiser. We do not endorse any product advertised, or vouch for any publisher's audience.

2. Which agreement applies to you

These Terms apply to everyone. Because the two sides of the marketplace have genuinely different obligations — one is paid, the other pays — each also accepts a role-specific agreement:

If you act as both, you accept both, and each is recorded separately against your account. Where a role-specific agreement conflicts with these Terms, the role-specific agreement governs for that role.

3. Your account

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you are acting for a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

Accuracy

You must give a real email address and confirm it. Publishing a Fame page and taking over a position both require a confirmed address.

Security

You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@famespot.app if you believe it has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

Across the whole platform, you must not:

  • distribute malware, or attempt to compromise the service or its users;
  • misrepresent who you are or who you represent;
  • artificially inflate views, clicks or takeovers;
  • scrape the service in a way that degrades it for others;
  • circumvent suspension by creating additional accounts; or
  • use the service for anything unlawful.

5. Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a licence to host, display and reproduce it as needed to operate the service — including on publisher domains and in the public Fame History.

If you believe content infringes your rights, contact support@famespot.app with enough detail to identify it and we will review.

6. Availability

We aim to keep FameSpot available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. Where a change materially affects paid positions, we will act reasonably to avoid depriving anyone of what they paid for.

7. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or a role-specific agreement. Where practical we will explain why and give an opportunity to respond, but we may act immediately where there is risk of harm to users, publishers or the platform.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FameSpot is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts paid to or by you through the platform in the three months preceding the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email and the version above will change. Continuing to use FameSpot after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
